Ben Appell is a senior at Emerson College in Boston. A DJ since high school, Ben works at the radio station WERS 88.9 fm, running hip-hop and other programming. His knowledge of music and DJ technique are perfect for keeping the music flowing and the partygoers dancing.
Jesse Appell is a sophomore at Brandeis University in Waltham. Directing the Newton North High School Improv troupe gives Jesse the unique ability to keep the party alight with energy and enthusiasm. His vast repertoire of group games ensures that everyone present will be enjoying the festivities.
Anything you want! When you choose Super Appell Bros., we create a total party environment from before the doors even open until the last people leave at closing time. We play all the popular music on the radio, and love to take requests from partygoers.
Our specialty is personally tuning the party to match your specific desires. If you are interested in having your party with us, we will meet with you in person discuss all the ins and outs of your plans. We love to arrange special events within the party, such as candle-lighting ceremonies or special child-parent dances, and can set the mood just as you want it, right down to what song is playing at any given time. We play games and activites which keep the fun and energy of the party at the max. We also can give away prizes, small knick-knacks like glowsticks, and everything else one knows and loves about Bar/Bat Mitzvah parties.
Most DJ companies send DJs with either glorified iPod MP3 players or basic turntable setups. Super Appell Bros. has top of the line equipment, such as the Torq Connectiv Vinyl Adaptation system, which allows the DJ to “spin” MP3s on vinyl records. This means that your party receives the best of both worlds: the great selection of an MP3 library which ensures we can play all the songs you want to hear, as well as the unbeatable quality audio and interactivity that comes from our twin Numark TTX vinyl turntable setup.
Other DJ companies charge a small fortune for their services. Super Appell Bros. makes a promise: we can do what they do for HUNDREDS less than their prices! The reason is simple: because we’re not part of a big DJ & Entertainment mega-company, we don’t mark up our prices for events.
Super Appell Bros. is a two-man business that owns all its own equipment and can concentrate on your party specifically, meaning that choosing us doesn’t mean sacrificing anything you could get with a more expensive DJ company.
